Working as Lead AI

As Lead AI, you manage complex transformation projects and turn business challenges into smart, scalable AI solutions. You work together with clients to build sustainable AI capabilities, guide teams, and inspire stakeholders with your expertise. You combine hands-on knowledge with strategic advice and create real value. The role offers plenty of room for development, collaboration, and making an impact.

A snapshot of your challenges

• Designing, building, and implementing AI solutions that create real impact for clients across a variety of sectors.

• Working on advanced GenAI applications and LLM workflows, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and agent orchestration.

• Translating client needs into concrete data strategies, sector-specific propositions, and targeted AI solutions.

• Taking part in client meetings, supporting proposals, demos, and proof-of-concepts, and advising on technical feasibility and architecture.

• Leading, coaching, and developing the team in both technical areas and consultancy skills, while ensuring knowledge sharing, collaboration, and cohesion within projects.

What do you bring to the table?

• At least 8 years of experience in AI/ML engineering and consulting, preferably in hands-on production environments and client-facing advisory roles.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI, including fine-tuning, advanced RAG patterns, agentic workflows, and a strong understanding of modern ML concepts such as transformers, embeddings, and attention mechanisms.

• Strong Python programming skills and experience with ML/data tools (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, MLflow, LangChain/LlamaIndex, vector databases), as well as API/backend development.

• A relevant, completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, or similar fields.

• The ability to communicate complex information clearly and understandably to various audiences, in both Dutch and English.
