The Energy & Utilities sector in the Netherlands is on the verge of fundamental transitions

As part of the Energy & Utilities team, you help our clients adapt and optimize their business processes and IT so that they are able to implement new strategies and comply with changing laws and regulations. Together with your colleagues, you address the disruptive changes in the market, including the increasing decentralization, decarbonization, and digitalization of the energy system. You combine in-depth industry knowledge with building and expanding a (commercial) network, enabling Eraneos to play a meaningful role in the Energy & Utilities sector in the Netherlands. In doing so, we also leverage Eraneos’ international experience.

Our team

The Energy & Utilities team at Eraneos is one of our newest teams and is currently in full development. Given the rapid changes in the energy market and the unique dynamics of the sector, we are looking for professionals who not only focus on process optimization, but also have the expertise to advise and support clients on a substantive level in the execution of business processes—including thinking along about how processes should be adapted to market developments and new regulations.

Our team is actively building the position of Eraneos in the energy and utilities sector, both in the Netherlands and internationally. We work closely with colleagues in Germany, Spain, and Switzerland. We regularly share knowledge and market insights to learn from each other’s successes and challenges.

What we do

At Eraneos, we carry out our work primarily together with the client. This means it is important for us to understand how their organization is structured: from how administrative processes work at energy companies to how information is exchanged between parties. Our projects and activities focus on the in-depth analysis and optimization of processes at energy companies, with attention to changing market conditions and regulations, billing processes, data and information exchange, and supporting clients in effectively responding to changes in their sector. We need to speak their language. Only then can we truly connect with the client and make the maximum impact.

Our expertise includes, among other things, business analysis, simplifying the energy future, making regulations understandable, digitalizing the energy value chain, driving efficiency based on facts, and anticipating the customer needs of the future.

Creating an impact for customers

Every customer and project is different and requires a different approach, time and again. We work locally and internationally either at our customers’ premises, our own office, or from home. 

For example, Schiphol Trade Park asked us to help with their shortage of electricity capacity, which was forcing companies to resort to polluting, individual solutions. Eraneos assisted in drafting contracts for the Schiphol Trade Park Energy Cooperative (ECOS). ECOS enables collective energy use via solar panels and batteries, with gas generators as an exception. As a result, not only is there now a more sustainable energy supply, but there is also less pollution.

With all the upcoming changes, such as the introduction of the Energy Act, the Collective Heat Act, the energy transition, keeping energy affordable, and much more, we want to make an even greater impact by bringing our knowledge of IT, business, the industry, and optimizations to life in this very interesting and dynamic sector.
