“Whether you ask me to review a presentation, or assist you with a difficult customer conversation, you can approach me and all my colleagues for anything.”

“Whether you ask me to review a presentation, or assist you with a difficult customer conversation, you can approach me and all my colleagues for anything.”

Meet Managing Partner Maurice

“30 years ago our organization was born from an initiative of five enterprising consultants,” says Maurice Boon. “We are now an international company with 14 offices around the world.” Although Eraneos (previously known as Quint) began as a specialist in IT service management, it now has a broad portfolio and is highly regarded by the market for its consulting. “Eraneos has developed tremendously well since then, not only in scope, but especially in depth.”

“About 15 years ago, just before the financial crisis, we started to focus on what we are really good at: consulting focused on digital transformations. By creating a clear focus, customers know what we don’t do, so they come to us primarily for what we actually do,” says Maurice laughingly. The organization decided to focus on those consulting services in which it can be the best. “We have continued this trend for the past 15 years. This focus, along with penetrating deeper into our markets, has shaped our portfolio; healthcare, the public sector, financial services, and a number of industry segments,” Maurice explains. “The combination of our market knowledge and our portfolio makes us a unique company.” Eraneos brings together knowledge of technology, data, and organizational consulting. “We are still independent; we are not a service integrator or service provider, which means that in our field we are a kind of pool of knowledge for many customers.”

“Eraneos has no hierarchy and our people see this reflected in the workplace. Whether you ask me to review a presentation, or assist you with a difficult customer conversation, you can approach me and all my colleagues for anything.”

Maurice Boon, Managing Partner

Eraneos wants to make an impact. “We look at the combination of people, process, technology,” Maurice explains. “You can’t just look at technology, or just at processes; you have to address all three aspects to anchor transformations in a company.” This is reflected in Eraneos’ value proposition and especially in its people. They love their profession. “We are driven, we have passion, we dare to make our voices heard when it comes to thought leadership.” Thanks to these qualities, Eraneos’ people make an impact for its customers. “We can only make an impact for a customer if they are satisfied and when we actually see the result of what Eraneos has realized together with them,” says Maurice.

Pride

Eraneos also provides training for its customers. In the past, Eraneos provided customer training in more than 21 countries. “Training should contribute to your change objective,” explains Maurice. “That’s why we’ve shifted our focus from delivering standard training in high volumes, to providing targeted training as a contribution to our transformation programs.” The Eraneos Academy (previously known as the Quint Academy) has entered into a partnership with the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) in which Eraneos staff provide training to refugees and job seekers. “Every year, by sharing our own knowledge free of charge in this partnership, we are able to help more than 150 people improve their position on the labor market. In this way, we contribute to society in a concrete way, and we’re proud of that!”

With each other, for each other

There is a family culture at Eraneos. The coronavirus pandemic made working difficult because colleagues were suddenly far away from one another. “Once the rules were relaxed, you immediately saw that the atmosphere in the office and the Eraneos feeling came back to life.” Maurice is very involved in the company at all levels. “Eraneos has no hierarchy and our people see this reflected in the workplace. Whether you ask me to review a presentation, or assist you with a difficult customer conversation, you can approach me and all my colleagues for anything.”

If you ask people to describe Maurice — either as a person or a CEO — they will use the same words: results-focused, competitive, and a busy bee. Before Maurice comes to the office, he has already been jogging. “I always have energy, exercising is a way to clear my head and get new ideas,” says Maurice laughingly. “I think I also got this from my time in the Marine Corps. The amount of time I spend on sports has decreased since then, but jogging at least three mornings a week is still in my system.”

Camaraderie

Eraneos has been Great Place to Work® certified for more than five years. “I believe Eraneos is a great place to work because of the space we give each other, our honesty and openness towards each other, and the close ties between us,” Maurice says. “Everything is open for discussion and you can go to anyone for help, regardless of whether it’s for professional or personal reasons.” Eraneos has scored extremely high on the “Camaraderie” indicator for several years in a row now. “And that’s no coincidence,” Maurice says proudly. “In the Marines only one thing is relevant: camaraderie. You go to hell and back with each other and for each other.” That is in Maurice’s DNA, and also in the DNA of Eraneos.
