Meet Manager Linda
Linda van ‘t Klooster was looking for an organization where the substance and depth of IT are combined with a human approach and the opportunity to make a real impact. “A colleague from the field introduced me to Eraneos,” Linda explains. “He was very enthusiastic about working at Eraneos, which made me want to have a conversation myself”. In February 2024, she joined the Sourcing & IT Advisory team.
Within the team, Linda focuses on both sourcing questions and management projects. From her first week, Linda has been actively involved in various projects. “I enjoyed that I could start working on different types of projects right away,” says Linda. She worked closely with experienced Eraneos colleagues, which gave her the opportunity to brainstorm and gain new insights. “This collaboration gave me the chance to add value immediately and to develop myself further”.
Linda has collaborated on various projects with colleagues from other practices, which gave her the opportunity to broaden her knowledge. “This summer, for example, I worked with a colleague from the Cyber Security & Privacy team, from whom I learned a lot about DORA. When I later carried out an assignment at a financial institution, I was able to apply this knowledge directly to the client, which was of great value”.
“We have a ton of people here with deep expertise, and our flat structure means you can easily reach out to anyone for help.”
Eraneos blends IT expertise with a deep understanding of people, which is exactly what Linda was seeking. “How do you get people to embrace change? How do you create the ideal IT environment? These are the kinds of questions I get to explore at Eraneos”. The conversations she has with clients are both insightful and empathetic. “We don’t just produce reports; at Eraneos, we make a real difference by turning our proposals into reality”.
Trainings
In addition to her work on projects, Linda has also started working as a trainer. “During a training session, you try to coach people for practical application, and I have given various trainings, including governance training and SIAM trainings,” she explains. According to Linda, the trainings are a valuable addition to the consultancy services Eraneos offers. “With a training, for example, we create eye-openers and help people better understand how the implementation of a strategy translates to their organization”.
From 20 colleagues to 250
Linda’s previous employer was a small company. “I didn’t want to move to a large corporation,” Linda says, “Although the number of colleagues at Eraneos has grown significantly in recent years, it still feels like a small company, because there is a lot of attention paid to mutual connection”. Various events are organized annually, and in addition, the Sourcing & IT Advisory team itself also plans outings, such as weekend getaways and inspiring knowledge sessions.
One of the first words that comes to mind when Linda thinks of her colleagues is ‘strong-willed’ – “but in a great way, they really challenge you and the clients to think outside the box,” she laughs, “Everyone’s super friendly and welcoming. It was like jumping into a warm bath. At Eraneos, we have a really open culture where we’re always learning from each other and giving each other feedback”.
In addition to her work, Linda has a family with two young children. “I experience a good work-life balance; so far, the assignments have been easy to combine,” Linda mentions, “At Eraneos, they are very accommodating and offer many opportunities for personal development, and I’ve noticed that there is a lot of attention paid to the well-being of the employees”.
Such a handy(wo)man!
Linda and her family moved from Amsterdam to the countryside two years ago. “We renovated for a few months, and when we moved in, it wasn’t finished yet,” Linda laughs. “We’ve renovated several houses together before, and it’s always fun to do the work ourselves and really make it a home.” They do most of the work themselves, with occasional help from family and specialists. “With two young children, it goes a bit slower than our previous renovations, but we still love finishing something new in our house”.
