From strategy to self-direction
When Isabelle began the project at Curio together with several Eraneos colleagues, they found themselves in an organization that wanted to rebuild its IT on a new foundation. Curio, a large educational institution in West Brabant, aspired to move from relying on a single IT supplier to a more flexible model involving multiple partners. “For Curio, such a large sourcing project was completely new. I enjoyed working together with my colleagues and Curio’s enthusiastic team, helping to shape the transformation from the very first strategic session all the way to actual implementation.”
What Isabelle loved about this project was that she didn’t just help the organization move forward but also learned a great deal herself. “We shared knowledge, engaged in open conversations, and truly co-created as one team, something I look back on with pride.”

Collaboration gets you further
Naturally, Isabelle and her colleagues faced a range of challenges along the way. The biggest challenge? “For me, it was guiding Curio in formulating and executing their own sourcing strategy, so that they could continue independently after the project,” Isabelle explains. “Together with my colleagues, I ensured that our specialist Eraneos knowledge was well transferred, but the solutions themselves continued to come from Curio.”
Working with suppliers also presented its challenges. It was up to Isabelle and the team to set up the collaboration so that suppliers truly delivered what Curio needed. This required clear agreements, but above all, open communication and building trust.
The result? Curio successfully transitioned from a single supplier to a model with eight separate lots, allowing them to select the most suitable party for each domain. The IT landscape, which was once a non-transparent ‘black box’, is now clear and manageable; Curio has a handle on both quality and costs.
