SAP Architect (all genders)

What you will find with us

As an SAP Architect, you are the strategic and technical authority when clients need to rethink their SAP landscape from the ground up. You connect Enterprise Architecture thinking with hands-on solution design – spanning technology strategy, S/4HANA architecture, RISE with SAP evaluation, integration design, and roadmap definition. You operate at eye level with Business & IT directors, program managers, SAP experts and enterprise architects, translating complex transformations into clear, actionable decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as lead technical advisor on SAP S/4HANA transformations covering Greenfield, Brownfield, and Bluefield/Selective Data Transition approaches
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal deployment options: RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, hyperscaler hosting, hybrid and on-premise setups; develop and present business cases for C-level decision-making
  • Develop Enterprise Architecture target pictures for SAP landscapes using established frameworks and tools (TOGAF, SAP EA Framework, LeanIX); define transformation roadmaps aligned to business strategy
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures including integration landscapes (SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Datasphere), data migration strategies, and custom development guidelines
  • Define technical specifications, interface concepts, and authorisation frameworks for S/4HANA implementations across heterogeneous (SAP / non-SAP / best-of-breed) environments
  • Lead architecture workshops and design authorities; align stakeholders across business, IT, and external system integrators
  • Support software sourcing and vendor selection: contribute architectural requirements to RfP/RfI processes and evaluate system integrator proposals
  • Drive thought leadership through internal publications, client presentations, and active contribution to our SAP practice
  • Mentor and develop junior team members; support acquisition activities and proposal development

Who you are

You combine technical SAP expertise with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate complex architecture decisions into clear business value. You thrive in ambiguous, high-stakes environments and enjoy challenging the status quo. Beyond your technical depth, you bring the following:

  • Strong affinity for SAP technology topics and digital transformation in complex enterprise environments
  • 3-6 years of experience in management or IT consulting, including proven track record working in complex S/4HANA transformation or rollout programs
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA strategy, architecture & product roadmap
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of core business processes and their translation into SAP architecture decisions
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, and/or SAP LeanIX / Signavio
  • TOGAF certification or SAP (EA) certifications are a strong advantage
  • Excellent academic background (Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent); computer science, business informatics, or engineering preferred
  • Sound knowledge of consulting methods and structured problem-solving approaches
  • Strong social and communication skills; confident presenter and moderator at management and C-level
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a can-do attitude and genuine enthusiasm for taking on responsibility
  • Willingness to travel (predominantly within the DACH region); approx. 60-80%
  • Business fluent in German and English
